Puslinch Junior Pig Herding Contest

Please register at least one hour before the start of this event at the Ball Diamond Registration Desk located at the Ball Diamond.

Prizes $5, $3., $2 to be paid on Fair Day

Each contestant will be required to drive their pig from one pen, around a barrel and into the next pen and finish first.

All pigs and necessary equipment are supplied.

Unfortunately, we will only be able to have 7 contestants in each section. In the event that more people register for each section, we will hold a lottery of all names registered and draw 7 contestants.

Grand Champion Team will be awarded the Carl Ross Trophy and keeper cup.

The Carl Ross Trophy has been deeded to the Society, and was first awarded for Grand Champion Team at the Aberfoyle Fall Fair in 1922.

Rules And Regulations

! ASTM/SEI/BSI Approved Helmets with safety harness fastened at all times when mounted and correct riding attire must be worn, under penalty of elimination

! Horses/Ponies and Riders may cross enter Divisions, except Low Hunter and Hunter

! Horse/Pony and Rider Combinations may not cross enter Ring One and Ring Two

! No warm up rounds in the ring: a practice fence will be provided

! No stallions allowed.

! Prizes for High Point in each Division in Ring One (Class 1 not included in calculations).

! While every precaution is taken, neither the Aberfoyle Agricultural Society nor the Guelph Pony Club or their members can be held responsible for accidents involving horses, riders, spectators, or equipment, while on the grounds.

Class 20: Dorsets, Arcotts, Southdowns

Rules: All lambs must have been bred and owned by the exhibitor or must be the property of any exhibitor establishing a new flock. Lambs will be judged from a breeding standpoint. Group classes are limited to one entry per exhibitor. Shearlings are not eligible as aged. All animals must be in proper show condition.

Rules:

Open to children 14 years of age or under. No entry fee is required. In making their awards, judges will take into consideration the amount of care taken by the owners of their pets. Prizes will be paid on the day of the show. All pets must be owned by the exhibitor. Only one entry allowed in each class by each exhibitor. All pets must be caged or leashed as Society authorities will not be responsible. Please register your entries at the Ball Diamond Registration Desk by 11:00 am Fair Day
