1. Open to children attending the Fair who weigh between 40 and 80 lbs.
2. Tractors, Sled and Scale will be provided.
3. Classes: a. 40-50 lbs c. 61-70 lbs
b. 51-60 lbs d. 71-80 lbs
4. Each contestant will be weighed before pull starts.

The work of Aberfoyle Public School students will be on display in the Green Shed.

Special event for young people - Take a big heap of straw, add both candy and real Loonies and Toonies, and let em scramble. If its in your hand when the whistle blows, its yours.
Contestants will be given a timed free-for-all to dig through loose straw and keep what they find. They will have a chance to find real Loonies, Toonies, and candy.

Puslinch Junior Pig Herding Contest

Please register at least one hour before the start of this event at the Ball Diamond Registration Desk located at the Ball Diamond.
Prizes $5, $3., $2 to be paid on Fair Day
Each contestant will be required to drive their pig from one pen, around a barrel and into the next pen and finish first.
All pigs and necessary equipment are supplied.
Unfortunately, we will only be able to have 7 contestants in each section. In the event that more people register for each section, we will hold a lottery of all names registered and draw 7 contestants.

4-H is for Fun! For Friends! 4-H is for Learning by Doing! 4-H is 4U!
It's a community organization for young people 10 to 21 years of age (before January 1 of this year). We offer exciting programs from pet care, conservation, agriculture, sewing, cooking and much more. All 4-H programs are run by volunteers in Wellington County. If you have any questions, contact our 4-H secretary Barbara McAllister at 824-2959.

The poster must be an original, hand made design by an school student, with the theme of "Promoting Our Fair"
The poster must be a minimum of 11" x 17" (28 cm x 43 cm) and a maximum of 12" x 18" (30.5 cm x 46 cm).
The fair board will mount the winner on black art card for the OAAS District 7 competition in November/04, and if a winner at that competition, will forward the poster to the OAAS Convention in Toronto in February/05 for further prizes..
The name of the Fair, the student and the school must be clearly noted on the back of the poster.
OAAS Chocolate Chip Cookie Competition
Prizes - $5, $3, $2
Youth age 10 to 15 years - put age on Tag.
Made by entrant - 12 cookies in a sturdy box with easy to remove lid. Box may be decorated. Cookies to be no larger that 3".
To be judged - 25% presentation, 15% General Appearance, 15% internal appearance, 45% Flavour. Winner will be asked to repeat recipe and packaging for presentation at the District 7 Competition in November 2004 and if a winner there, to repeat again in February 2005 at the Provincial level.

Biggest Pumpkin Contest
Prize Money: $25, $20, $15, $10, $10, $10, $10 for 1st to 7th place
All other entries will receive $1.Prizes are cash on fair day
Rules:
Must be grown by a boy or girl up to and including Grade 8.
Exhibit must be grown and cared for by the exhibitor in the course of this year.
All pumpkins will be weighed and prizes given accordingly. In the event of a tie, the pumpkins in question will be measured.
Colour of pumpkin will not be a factor considering the early date of the Fair.
Entry form must include name, address, and the name of the seed sown if known.
All exhibits must be entered by 5:00 pm Friday September 10, 2004. Please take pumpkins to the back Green Shed
Exhibits must remain on display until 4:30 pm and must be removed by 6:30 pm Fair Day.
Judging will take place in the Ball Diamond
No entry fee will be charged.
The decision of the Judge is final.
